This full-day course covers two injectable skin treatments together, giving practitioners the knowledge and practical confidence to introduce both skin boosters and polynucleotides into clinical practice.
Training covers patient assessment, treatment indications, patient selection, contraindications, product selection, injection technique, treatment planning, aftercare and complication management for both treatment types.
Because the two treatments are frequently considered together in practice, the course places particular emphasis on knowing which is appropriate for the individual patient, and why.
The day includes extensive hands-on training with live models, including treatment of the delicate peri-orbital area, with close supervision and individual feedback throughout.
Skin Booster & Polynucleotide Training
Delegates will learn the principles required to safely assess, select and treat patients with both injectable skin treatments. Training includes:
- Skin anatomy and physiology
- Skin quality and skin health assessment
- How each treatment type works within the skin
- Differences between skin boosters and polynucleotides
- Patient assessment
- Patient selection
- Indications and contraindications
- Product-selection principles
- Treatment areas
- Injection technique
- Needle and cannula principles
- Injection depth
- Treatment volumes
- Treatment protocols and intervals
- Combining treatments appropriately
- Complication prevention and management
- Aftercare
- Managing patient expectations
The aim is for delegates to understand not simply how each treatment is performed, but which treatment is appropriate for the patient in front of them, and why.
Skin Assessment & Treatment Planning
Good skin treatment begins with assessment. Delegates will develop a structured approach to evaluating:
- Skin type
- Skin condition and skin quality
- Primary patient concerns
- Medical history
- Previous treatments
- Barrier health
- Sensitivity
- Suitability for each treatment type
- Treatment expectations
- Appropriate treatment sequencing
Particular emphasis is placed on recognising when one treatment is more appropriate than the other, and when treatment should be deferred.
Practical Live-Model Training
A significant proportion of the day is dedicated to supervised practical treatment. Delegates will participate in:
- Consultation
- Skin assessment
- Patient selection
- Clinical photography
- Treatment planning
- Product preparation
- Skin booster treatment
- Polynucleotide treatment
- Peri-orbital treatment
- Aftercare
- Documentation
Training is delivered within a supportive small-group environment with close supervision and individual feedback, including treatment of the delicate peri-orbital area.
