The brief
Aesthetic Precision Medical Training Academy is the training arm of Aesthetic Precision, the nurse-led aesthetics clinic in Ramsgate run by Hannah Ruby, an Independent Nurse Prescriber. Having built the clinic's own website, we were asked to create a separate site for the Academy — one aimed at a completely different audience.
That distinction drove the whole design. The clinic site speaks to patients: warm, ivory, reassuring. The Academy speaks to registered healthcare professionals deciding where to spend £1,500 on their own education. It needed to feel like a place of learning rather than a treatment room — so we went dark and editorial, set the headings in a high-contrast serif drawn from the Aesthetic Precision monogram, and let the course detail carry the page.
What we built
A hand-coded WordPress theme — no page builder — with a single shared stylesheet and vanilla JavaScript. Every course lives in one structured data file, so a price change or a new course is a single edit rather than a hunt through templates.
The particular challenge here was depth of content. Hannah had written genuinely thorough course material, and the temptation with that much detail is to bury it. Instead each course page opens with an at-a-glance summary, runs the programme as a timeline, and keeps the price and booking panel in view while you read.
Who built it
This site was designed and built by Kent Web Design, a web design studio in Kent. We build bespoke, hand-coded websites for businesses across Kent and the South East — sites made to look right, load fast and actually bring in work, rather than templates with a logo dropped in.
If you run a business in Thanet, Canterbury or anywhere across Kent and want something built properly, Kent Web Design is a good place to start.
Technical notes
Custom WordPress theme, WebP imagery with dimensions set to avoid layout shift, Lenis and GSAP for motion (all of which respects reduced-motion preferences), schema.org structured data on every page including Course and FAQ markup, and a lean build with WordPress's default block and emoji assets removed.
